The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are reviewing the multi-phase Computer Based Test (CBT) schedule for Level-1 Posts (Group D) notified under Centralized Employment Notice (CEN) No. 08/2024. Millions of candidates who submitted online applications across various railway railway zones (Track Maintainer Grade IV, Helper/Assistant in Electrical, Mechanical, S&T, and Pointsman in Traffic) can verify their application acceptance status and monitor exam city announcements at rrbcdg.gov.in.
As per standard Indian Railways recruitment protocol, the Exam City and Date Intimation Slip along with Free Travel Authority for SC/ST candidates is released 10 days prior to the exam, while downloadable e-call letters are activated 4 days before each candidate’s test date.
RRB Group D CBT Exam Pattern (Total: 100 Marks)

Note: There will be negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every wrong answer in the CBT. PwBD candidates accompanied with scribe are entitled to 120 minutes.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Qualifying Standards
- Male Candidates:
- Lift and carry 35 kg weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.
- Run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.
- Female Candidates:
- Lift and carry 20 kg weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.
- Run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.
How to Check Application Status & Exam City
- Visit your regional RRB official website (or rrbcdg.gov.in).
- Click on CEN 08/2024 Level-1 Posts: Application Status / Exam City & Date Intimation Slip.
- Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY).
- The screen displays your application validity status (Provisionally Accepted / Rejected with reason).
- If scheduled in the current phase, view your allocated test city, shift timing, and reporting time.
