The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has opened the Choice Filling & Selection Window for NEET UG Round 3 Counselling 2026 on 23 September 2026. Candidates who have registered or carried over their eligibility can now log in to the official counselling portal at mcc.nic.in to submit their preferences for MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing seats across All India Quota (15%), Deemed Universities, Central Universities, and ESIC institutions.
Choice filling will remain open until 28 September 2026 (12:00 Server Time), while the official Choice Locking facility will be activated on 28 September 2026 from 16:00 ST to 23:55 ST.

Crucial Choice Filling Instructions for Round 3
- Verify Available Vacant Seats: Review the institute-wise Round 3 vacant seat matrix released by MCC before arranging college preferences.
- No Upper Limit on Choices: Candidates can fill as many choices as eligible across All India Quota, Central Institutes (AIIMS, JIPMER), and Deemed Universities.
- Hierarchy Priority: Place dream institutes and high-priority institutions at the top of your preference list. The allotment algorithm checks choices sequentially from Rank 1 downwards.
- Choice Locking Mandate: Ensure you manually lock your choices on 28 September 2026 (between 16:00 and 23:55 ST). If you do not lock manually, the system will auto-lock your saved preferences upon server cutoff.
Step-by-Step Choice Filling Guide
- Visit the official portal at mcc.nic.in and select UG Medical Counselling.
- Click on Sign In / Candidate Login and provide your NEET UG Roll Number and Password.
- Navigate to the Available Choices section to review college and quota options.
- Click Fill Choices and add institutes to your preferred list using the Add / Up / Down buttons.
- Periodically click Save & Continue to preserve your entered sequence.
- Print or save the selected choice list for personal records prior to locking on 28 September.
