Key Guidelines for PwD Candidates
- Designated Disability Centres Only: Certificates issued by district civil hospitals or state medical authorities are NOT acceptable for MCC AIQ seats. The certificate must be generated through the online MCC portal at designated centres (e.g., VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital New Delhi, AIIMS Nagpur, Madras Medical College Chennai, IPGMER Kolkata, etc.).
- Disability Assessment Standard: The candidate must be examined by the medical board in accordance with National Medical Commission (NMC) norms to determine whether the disability falls within 40% to 80% and whether the candidate is eligible to pursue medical studies.
- Online Certificate Generation: The medical board generates an online digital certificate on the MCC portal. Offline physical certificates without digital verification codes will be rejected.
Steps to Complete PwD Assessment
- Download the designated Disability Certification Centre list from mcc.nic.in.
- Carry your NEET UG 2026 Admit Card, Scorecard, Government Identity Proof, and previous disability reports.
- Report to the designated centre before 10:30 AM on 05 September 2026.
- Undergo medical examination by the specialist panel.
- Ensure the centre updates and uploads your assessment status to the MCC portal before 6:00 PM on 6 September.
Important: Do not confuse the medical board assessment deadline (05 September) with the general counselling registration deadline (08 September). PwD candidates must complete board assessment early to lock their quota choices.
