Important Notice: Candidates must register afresh for Schedule-II; registration numbers from older cycles are invalid. While One-Time Registration is open from 31 August to 19 September 2026 (5:00 PM), the portal for post selection and application submission is active from 02 September to 21 September 2026 (5:00 PM).

Eligibility & Selection Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Secondary School Examination (Class 10th) pass certificate with passing marks in Mathematics and English conducted by any recognized Board of School Education.
- Compulsory Local Language: The applicant must have studied the local language (at least up to 10th standard) as an official or elective subject.
- Age Limit: 18 to 40 years as on closing date. Standard age relaxations apply for SC/ST (5 yrs), OBC (3 yrs), and PwD candidates.
- Selection Process: 100% Merit-based selection generated automatically as per 10th standard marks/grades. No written examination is conducted.
Steps to Apply Online for India Post GDS 2026
- Open the official GDS engagement portal at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
- Complete Registration Stage 1 with basic personal, mobile, and email details.
- Pay the required application fee (Rs. 100/- for UR/OBC/EWS Male candidates; Exempt for Female/SC/ST/PwD).
- Log in to Stage 3 and choose your Circle, Division, and post preferences in order of choice.
- Upload required documents (Photo & Signature) and submit the form before 21 September 2026 at 5:00 PM.
