Sarkari Chatra Editorial Desk — Last updated: 03 September 2026, 04:30 PM IST
Crucial Instruction for PwBD Candidates: SSC has clarified that own-scribe registrations submitted before 05 November 2025 were systematically disposed of. Scribes must have an active OTR integrated with Aadhaar authentication, and candidates must map their scribe on the portal to generate the mandatory Entry Pass.
Scribe OTR Mapping Deadlines
| Examination | Exam Date | Scribe Mapping Deadline |
|---|---|---|
| Combined Hindi Translator (CHT) Tier-I | 08 September 2026 | 06 September 2026 (up to 23:00 Hours) |
| Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Exam | 09 to 15 September 2026 | 07 September 2026 (up to 23:00 Hours) |
Step-by-Step Scribe Mapping Process
- Scribe OTR: The scribe must first create an individual account on the SSC portal (ssc.gov.in) and complete Aadhaar biometric/OTP verification.
- Candidate Login: The candidate logs into their SSC profile and accesses the Scribe Details Mapping section.
- Enter Scribe OTR Number: Input the scribe’s registered OTR number and submit.
- Generate Entry Pass: Once mapped, download the official Scribe Entry Pass. Without this pass and matching photo ID, the scribe will NOT be permitted into the exam venue.
Note: This mapping is mandatory only for candidates who opted for their own scribe during application. Candidates opting for commission-provided scribes need not perform OTR mapping.
