What Is the Competent Authority Quota?

CQ seats are the state-quota MBBS seats that the university fills on merit at the fee fixed for this category. They include seats in government medical colleges and the CQ share of seats in private colleges. Management Quota (MQ) seats in private colleges are filled in separate rounds at a higher fee. The 15% All India Quota seats of government colleges are filled by MCC, not by Dr NTR UHS.

How to Check Your AP MBBS Allotment

  1. Go to drntr.uhsap.in.
  2. Open the admissions notifications for MBBS/BDS 2026-27.
  3. Click the college-wise allotment list for the phase and quota (CQ or MQ) you need.
  4. Find your NEET rank or name in the list.
  5. Log in to the candidate portal to pay the university fee and download your allotment order.

Reporting at the Allotted College

After downloading the allotment order, report at the college within the time given in the notification. Carry the originals and copies of the documents listed in the notification. These normally include:

  • Allotment order and university fee receipt
  • NEET UG 2026 admit card and rank card
  • Class 10 certificate (date of birth proof) and Intermediate marks memo
  • Study certificates from Class 6 to Intermediate, or residence certificate if required
  • Caste, EWS or other reservation certificate (if applicable)
  • Transfer certificate, Aadhaar card and passport-size photographs

As per the state admission rules, a candidate who does not report at the allotted college by the deadline loses that seat and may not be allowed in later CQ rounds. Read the rules for each phase carefully before deciding.

Tips for the Next Rounds

If you are waiting for a better seat, read the rules for each phase before you decide. Check the seat matrix of the next phase, enter options in order of real preference and do not leave web options to the last day, because the portal gets slow. Keep copies of every allotment order and fee receipt until your admission is final.
