The Organizing Institute for GATE 2027 (IIT Roorkee) closes the regular online application window for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2027) today, 25 September 2026. Engineering graduates and final-year undergraduate students seeking admission to M.Tech, M.S., direct Ph.D. programmes in premier institutions (IITs, IISc, NITs) or PSU recruitment (ONGC, IOCL, NTPC, BHEL, DRDO) must finalize their applications on the GOAPS portal at gate2027.iitr.ac.in before server cutoff.

Candidates submitting their applications after today will incur a substantial late fee penalty during the extended window.

• Photograph & Signature Quality: The photograph must feature a white background with 80% face coverage. Blurry uploads will result in form rejection during audit.
• Valid Photo ID Details: The exact Photo Identity Number entered (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving License) must match the physical card carried to the examination center.
• Choice of 3 Cities: Select all three exam cities carefully from the same administrative GATE zonal chapter.
• Two-Paper Combination: If opting for two papers, confirm your primary discipline and secondary discipline conform to the approved combinations list.

1. Access the official portal: gate2027.iitr.ac.in and open GOAPS 2027 Portal.
2. Sign in with your registered Enrollment ID / Email Address and Password.
3. Fill out personal details, qualifying degree records, and college address.
4. Upload photo, signature, and category certificate (if applicable).

6. Pay the regular application fee online and print your application receipt.
