FINAL DEADLINE TODAY (17:00 IST): The Department of Posts closes the online application and fee payment gateway for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment TODAY, 21 September 2026, at precisely 17:00 IST (5:00 PM). New candidate registration ended on 19 September. Registered candidates must complete post preference submission and payment immediately.

Critical Instructions for Registered Candidates
- No Fresh Registrations: If you did not generate your 10-digit Registration Number before 19 September 17:00 IST, the portal will reject any attempt to initiate a new profile.
- Division & Post Locking: Registered candidates must log into Stage 2 (Apply Online), select their postal circle, and assign numeric preferences across available Branch Post Offices before the 5:00 PM cutoff.
- Fee Confirmation: Ensure that your ₹100 application fee status reads Success (female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates are fee-exempt). Save the final application summary slip.

Candidates who identify factual discrepancies or typographical errors in their submitted forms will have a two-day correction facility operational from 23 September to 24 September 2026 (until 17:00 IST). Modifiable parameters and guidelines will be enforced through the official GDS portal.
