Candidates who passed both levels get a certificate for each level.

How to Download the UPTET 2026 Certificate

1. Open the UPESSC website: upessc.up.gov.in.
2. Click the UPTET 2026 certificate link on the home page.
3. Enter your roll number and date of birth, and fill the captcha.
4. Check your name, father’s name, level and marks on the certificate.
5. Download the PDF and keep a few colour printouts.

If any detail is wrong, contact UPESSC through the helpline or grievance option given on its website as soon as possible. Do not use a certificate with wrong details in a recruitment form.

Downloading from DigiLocker

UPESSC has said the certificates will also be uploaded to DigiLocker. Once available, log in to DigiLocker with your mobile number or Aadhaar, search for the UPTET / UPESSC certificate under “Education”, enter your roll number and year, and save it to your documents. A DigiLocker copy is accepted as a valid digital document in most verifications.

How Long Is the UPTET Certificate Valid?

Under the guidelines of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Teacher Eligibility Test certificates are valid for life. A UPTET 2026 certificate can therefore be used for all future teacher recruitments in Uttar Pradesh that require UPTET, subject to the other conditions of each recruitment.

Where You Will Need This Certificate

• Applications for assistant teacher posts in UP government primary schools (Classes 1–5) need the primary level certificate.
• Posts for Classes 6–8 in upper primary schools need the upper primary level certificate.
• Aided and private schools in the state also ask for TET qualification for teaching posts.
• Document verification in any recruitment will check the original certificate, so keep it safe.

Tips for Qualified Candidates

Keep both the PDF and the printout in a safe place, along with your admit card and result. Match the spelling of your name and date of birth with your Class 10 certificate. Watch for teacher recruitment notifications in Uttar Pradesh, because the UPTET certificate is only an eligibility; you still have to clear the recruitment exam for the post.

If You Did Not Qualify

If you did not pass UPTET 2026, check your scorecard to see how many marks you were short of the qualifying mark for your category. You can also appear in the CTET conducted by CBSE, which is accepted for many teacher posts, and in the next UPTET whenever UPESSC announces it. Use the gap until then to revise child development and pedagogy, which carries a large share of marks in both papers.
