Important Points About This Result

  • As stated by UPSC, the recommendations are subject to the final outcome of a case pending before the High Court of Delhi. They should not be read as unconditional appointments.
  • UPSC usually puts the marks of candidates on its website after the final result, and they stay online for a limited period.
  • Appointment orders are issued by the Government after verification of documents and other formalities.
  • Candidates should keep their address and contact details updated with CISF.

Next Steps for Recommended Candidates

UPSC sends the list of recommended candidates to the Ministry of Home Affairs and CISF. Before the appointment order is issued, the department completes checks such as verification of service records, documents and medical fitness. Since all candidates are already serving in CISF, the appointment is made as per the department’s rules for promotion through the LDCE, followed by the training prescribed for Assistant Commandants.

For Candidates Who Were Not Selected

If your roll number is not in the list, wait for UPSC to publish the marks of candidates on its website. Your marks will show how far you were from the last selected candidate in your category. You can use this to prepare for the next LDCE, provided you still meet the eligibility conditions of that year. Eligible candidates can also consider the open UPSC CAPF (AC) exam.
