UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Admit Card and Exam Date 2026

Short Information:
Union Public Service Commission will conduct the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2026 on 19 July 2026. The e-Admit Card is available online. Registered candidates must download and print it, verify their exam centre and reporting instructions, and carry the prescribed photo ID to both sessions.

Exam Alert: Paper-I starts at 10:00 AM and Paper-II at 2:00 PM. Entry closes 30 minutes before each session—at 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Late entry is not permitted.

Recommended arrival: UPSC advises candidates to reach preferably about one and a half hours before the beginning of each session for face authentication, identity verification and frisking.

1. Open the official UPSC e-Admit Card page or UPSC online portal.
2. Select Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2026.
3. Read and accept the displayed instructions.
4. Enter the registration details requested on the portal.
5. Download the e-Admit Card PDF.
6. Verify the candidate name, photograph, QR code, roll number, exam venue and session information.
7. Print a clear copy and carry it to both examination sessions.
8. Preserve the e-Admit Card until the final result is declared.

• Books, bags, notes, loose papers and other unauthorized material
• Valuable or costly items for which no safe-keeping arrangement is available

• Use only a black ball-point pen for marking and writing on the Paper-I OMR sheet.
• Carefully encode the roll number and test-booklet series code; mistakes may make the answer sheet liable to rejection.
• Paper-I is objective and carries negative marking for incorrect answers.
• Paper-I questions will be available in English and Hindi.
• In Paper-II, the essay may be written in English or Hindi.
• Precis writing, comprehension and other language-skill components in Paper-II must be attempted in English only.
• Paper-II will be evaluated only for candidates who secure the qualifying standard in Paper-I.

• Face authentication at the examination venue is mandatory.
• Candidates will also undergo identity verification and frisking.
• Reach preferably 90 minutes before each session to complete these formalities.
• Entry closes at 9:30 AM for Paper-I and 1:30 PM for Paper-II.
• No late entry will be allowed under any circumstances.
• Candidates cannot appear at any centre other than the one printed on the e-Admit Card.

What are the CAPF AC exam timings?

Paper-I is from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Paper-II is from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

What must candidates carry?

Is there negative marking?

Yes. The objective Paper-I carries a penalty for incorrect answers.
