Educational Qualification
Level-2 Posts
12th or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
The 50% condition is not insisted upon for SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates, or for candidates possessing higher qualifications such as Graduation or Post Graduation.
For Junior Clerk-cum-Typist or Accounts Clerk-cum-Typist, typing speed of 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi is required.
For Artisan posts in technical categories, Matriculation or equivalent with relevant ITI is required. Diploma in Engineering is not treated as an alternative higher qualification.

10th pass, or
ITI from an NCVT/SCVT-recognized institution, or
Equivalent qualification, or National Apprenticeship Certificate granted by NCVT.
Mandatory Scouts & Guides Qualification
President Scout, President Guide, Rover or Ranger; or Himalayan Wood Badge holder in any section.
Must have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the prescribed five-year period and must continue to be active up to the relevant date.
An original Certificate of Activeness in the prescribed Annexure-C format is required.
Must have attended two events at National Level or All Indian Railways Level and two events at State Level.
Candidates without the prescribed Scouts and Guides qualification are not eligible to apply.

The written test contains 40 objective questions for 40 marks and one essay-type question for 20 marks.
The paper will cover Scouts and Guides organization, activities and general knowledge.
The examination language can be English or Hindi.
Minimum qualifying marks in the written examination are 40% for all candidates.
Final merit will be prepared using written examination marks and certificate marks.
Level-2 and Level-1 selections will be conducted separately.
Final appointment is subject to document verification and medical fitness.
