Indian Navy SSC Officer 2027

Short Information:
The Indian Navy has invited online applications from eligible unmarried
men and women for Short Service Commission Officer entries under the
June 2027 course. A total of 275 tentative vacancies are available in
Executive, Education and Technical branches. The extended last date to
submit the application is 3 August 2026.

Applications are invited for the Short Service Commission course
commencing from June 2027 at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala,
Kerala.

The notification lists approximately 275 vacancies.
These vacancies are tentative and may be changed according to training
capacity and service requirements.

Both dates in the specified date-of-birth range are inclusive.

• Candidates who have completed the required graduate or postgraduate
  qualification may apply.
• Final-year candidates may also apply, subject to completing the
  required qualification before joining INA in June 2027.
• Degrees must be awarded by a recognised Indian university or
  institution covered under the applicable UGC, AICTE, IIT, NIT,
  IIIT or parliamentary laws.
• Candidates with foreign qualifications must obtain the required
  equivalence certificate.
• SSB-recommended candidates must inform the Indian Navy of their final
  degree result before 20 June 2027.
• Candidates with a pending academic backlog at SSB document
  verification may not be allowed to appear in the SSB process.

1. Application Shortlisting:
   Applications will be shortlisted using normalised marks obtained in
   the qualifying degree.
2. SSB Interview:
   Shortlisted candidates will receive SSB information through email
   or SMS.
3. Special Tests:
   Candidates considered for Pilot entry may have to undergo CPSS and
   aviation medical examination.
4. Medical Examination:
   SSB-recommended candidates must pass the medical standards
   applicable to their selected entry.
5. Merit List:
   Final merit will be prepared using SSB marks, medical fitness and
   availability of vacancies.
6. Joining at INA:
   Selected candidates must complete document and induction medical
   verification before training.

• Completed or final-year BE/B.Tech candidates:
  marks up to the fifth semester may be considered.
• Integrated BE/B.Tech candidates should follow the semester
  requirement stated by the Indian Navy.
• Completed postgraduate candidates:
  marks from all semesters may be considered.
• Final-year postgraduate candidates:
  pre-final-year performance may be used.
• NCC C certificate holders meeting the specified conditions may
  receive 5% relaxation in the SSB-shortlisting cut-off.

• Approximate initial gross salary of a Sub Lieutenant:
  ₹1,20,000 per month, along with applicable
  allowances.
• Pilot, Naval Air Operations Officer and eligible Submarine officers
  may receive an allowance of approximately
  ₹31,250 after successful completion of the required
  training.
• Initial Short Service Commission tenure:
  12 years.
• Extension:
  up to 2 additional years, subject to service
  requirement, performance, medical eligibility and willingness.
• Probation period:
  2 years or until completion of initial training,
  whichever is later.

• Candidates must meet the branch-specific medical, height, weight,
  eyesight and tattoo standards prescribed by the Indian Navy.
• Pilot candidates should check aviation standards, including height
  and limb measurements, before selecting the entry.
• Medical standards may differ for Pilot, NAOO, Submarine and other
  entries.
• Change of the allotted medical hospital or examination centre is
  generally not permitted.

2. Create a new candidate account or log in to an existing account.
3. Open the SSC Various Entries June 2027 application.
4. Enter personal details exactly as printed on the matriculation certificate.
5. Enter educational qualification and semester-wise marks carefully.
6. Select eligible branches and arrange them in the preferred order.
7. Upload the photograph, mark sheets and applicable certificates.
8. Preview the complete form before final submission.
9. Submit only one application for the course.
10. Download and print the submitted application for future use.

Can women candidates apply?

Yes. Women candidates are eligible for several entries, although some
