The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released official administrative guidelines regarding the CBSE Exam Date for Class 10 Secondary School Examinations for the 2026-2027 academic session. The theoretical board examinations are scheduled to commence from 15 February 2027 across all affiliated institutions in India and abroad. Practical examinations and internal assessments will be conducted in schools from January 2027.
Exam Timeline & Dates
- List of Candidates (LOC) Submission by Schools: Active Online
- Winter Bound Schools Practical Exams: November – December 2026
- Regular Affiliated Schools Practical Exams: 01 January 2027 onwards
- Class 10 Theory Board Exams Commencement: 15 February 2027
- CBSE Class 10 Admit Card: First week of February 2027
How to Download CBSE Class 10 Date Sheet 2027
- Visit the official CBSE portal at cbse.gov.in.
- Click on the Main Website (Pariksha Sangam) tab.
- Under “Latest @ CBSE” section, look for Circular – Date Sheet for Class X Board Examinations 2027.
- Open the timetable PDF and view subject-wise exam dates and shift timings (10:30 AM to 01:30 PM).
- Save and print the PDF timetable for your study schedule.
Passing Criteria & Competency Questions
- Passing Marks: A candidate must secure at least 33% marks in theory and practical / internal assessment taken together in each subject to qualify.
- Competency-Focused Questions: 50% of the questions in Class 10 board papers will be competency-based (MCQs, case-based questions, source-integrated questions).
- Reading Time: 15 minutes of question paper reading time is provided from 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM prior to writing.
