The Examination Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj has launched the online registration for the UP Special TET (Uttar Pradesh Special Teacher Eligibility Test) 2026. This certification exam is mandatory for candidates holding D.Ed. or B.Ed. in Special Education to qualify for teaching appointments in government and aided schools of UP catering to children with special needs. Both Paper I (Classes 1 to 5) and Paper II (Classes 6 to 8) are available.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
- Paper I (Primary Level – Class 1 to 5): 10+2 (Intermediate) with at least 50% marks AND 2-year Diploma in Special Education (D.Ed. Special Education) approved by RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) OR Graduation with D.Ed. (Special Education).
- Paper II (Upper Primary – Class 6 to 8): Graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks AND B.Ed. in Special Education recognized by RCI OR 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
- RCI Registration: Candidates must possess a valid CRR (Central Rehabilitation Register) number issued by RCI.
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years. No upper age bar for appearing in Teacher Eligibility Tests.

- Upload scanned photograph and signature according to prescribed dimensions.
