ISRO ISTRAC Recruitment 2026 – Technical Assistant, Technician and Other Posts

Short Information:
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), through ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), has invited online applications for 26 posts of Technical Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Library Assistant-A, Technician-B, Draughtsman-B and Cook-A. The online form is available from 27 June 2026 to 20 July 2026 up to 11:55 PM.

Fee Structure

• Technical Assistant / Scientific Assistant / Library Assistant-A: Pay ₹750 initially. After appearing in the Written Test/CBT, ₹500 is refundable to non-exempt candidates; the effective non-refundable application fee is ₹250.
• Technician-B / Draughtsman-B / Cook-A: Pay ₹500 initially. After appearing in the Written Test/CBT, ₹400 is refundable to non-exempt candidates; the effective non-refundable application fee is ₹100.
• Women / SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen: Full amount is refundable after appearing in the Written Test/CBT.
• Payment Mode: Bharatkosh e-Payment gateway through Internet Banking, UPI or domestic Debit Card.

Important: Processing fee refund is available only to candidates who actually appear in the Written Test/CBT and provide correct bank account details.

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 35 Years
• SC / ST Relaxation: 5 Years, where the post is reserved for the category
• OBC Relaxation: 3 Years, where the post is reserved for the category
• Other Relaxations: Applicable to eligible departmental candidates, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD and other categories as per Government of India rules.
• EWS: No age relaxation.

1. Initial screening based on academic performance and other details entered in the online application.
2. Written Test or Computer Based Test (CBT).
3. Skill Test for shortlisted candidates.
4. The Skill Test is qualifying in nature.
5. Final selection is based on Written Test/CBT marks among candidates who qualify the Skill Test.

• For posts other than Cook-A, Written Test pass marks are 32/80 for UR and 24/80 for reserved candidates where the post is reserved.
• Skill Test qualifying marks are 50/100 for UR and 40/100 for reserved candidates where applicable.
• Candidates are generally shortlisted for Skill Test in a 1:5 ratio, with a minimum of 10 candidates.
• Written Test/CBT may be held in Bengaluru or other cities across India. Skill Test will be held in Bengaluru.
• The written examination may be taken in Hindi or English.

• Recent colour passport-size photograph, not older than 6 months, in JPG/JPEG format.
• Signature in JPG/JPEG format.
• Essential educational qualification certificates.
• Experience certificate for Cook-A and wherever applicable.
• SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen certificate, if applicable.
• Valid mobile number, email ID and bank account details for communication and fee refund.
• Valid identity proof and other supporting records requested in the application form.
