DU BTech Round 3 Admission 2026 Latest Update

Delhi University has published the official schedule for the third allocation round of B.Tech. admissions for the academic session 2026-27. The third allocation will be declared on Sunday, 19 July 2026.

This is not a new-registration window. Only candidates who already registered on the DU B.Tech. portal and submitted their programme preferences can participate according to the applicable allocation rules.

Round 3 Alert: Candidates receiving a seat must click “Accept” by 21 July 2026 at 11:59 PM. The final deadline to pay the online admission fee is 23 July 2026 at 11:59 PM.

Allocation is based on the candidate’s JEE Main 2026 Paper-I Common Rank, category, submitted programme-preference order, eligibility and availability of seats.

Each programme also has supernumerary seats for PwBD, CW, KM and foreign-national categories. The number of seats actually available in Round 3 may be lower and can change because of upgrades, withdrawals, cancellations and verification outcomes.

DU BTech Round 3 Vacant Seats

A separate current B.Tech. Round 3 vacant-seat PDF was not displayed on the official DU Admission homepage at the time this update was verified. Candidates should check:

  • Their individual B.Tech. admission dashboard
  • The B.Tech. section of the DU Admission Portal
  • New notices or category-wise allocation-rank PDFs released by the University

Do not rely on unofficial vacancy figures because seat availability may change until the allocation is processed.

DU BTech Eligibility Criteria 2026

  • The candidate must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from one recognized board.
  • Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics must be included for calculating the required aggregate.
  • The candidate must have passed English at the Senior School Certificate level.
  • The candidate must have appeared in JEE Main 2026 Paper-I.
  • Admission allocation is based on the JEE Main 2026 All India Common Rank List.
  • Candidates placed in the Class 12 compartment examination in 2026 are not eligible for admission in 2026-27.

What Candidates Must Do After Round 3 Allocation

  1. Log in to the official B.Tech. admission portal on 19 July 2026.
  2. Check whether a programme has been allocated.
  3. If a seat is offered, click “Accept” within the prescribed deadline.
  4. Check the Faculty of Technology website and dashboard for document-verification instructions.
  5. Respond immediately to any document query raised during verification.
  6. Wait for the Faculty of Technology to approve the application.
  7. After approval, pay the admission fee through the payment link on the dashboard.
  8. Save the payment receipt and admission-confirmation details.
  9. Check the dashboard for further physical-verification or reporting instructions.
Inactivity is treated as non-acceptance. A candidate who does not accept the offered seat within the deadline may lose the allocation and the right to participate in later regular allocation rounds.

Upgrade, Freeze and Withdraw Rules

Upgrade

Upgrade allows an admitted candidate to be considered for a higher programme preference, subject to merit, preference order and seat availability. If upgraded, the earlier seat is automatically cancelled and the accepted status and fee are adjusted.

Freeze

Choose Freeze when satisfied with the current allocated programme. After freezing, the candidate cannot request an upgrade.

Who Cannot Use Upgrade?

  • Candidates who have already received their first preference
  • Candidates who have already selected Freeze

Withdraw

A candidate withdrawing admission through the dashboard loses eligibility for further B.Tech. admission during the session. The bulletin states a non-refundable withdrawal fee of ₹1,000.

DU BTech Admission Fee

The B.Tech. Bulletin of Information lists an admission fee of ₹2,35,200, while also stating that the fee for the academic session 2026-27 will be revised.

Therefore, candidates must pay only the exact amount displayed on their official dashboard after approval. The dashboard amount and latest University notice will be final.

Payment should be made only through the official dashboard using the available online payment method. Keep the transaction receipt for future reference.

Documents Required for Verification

  • Applicant photograph matching the photograph uploaded in JEE Main 2026
  • Candidate signature
  • Class 10 certificate showing date of birth and parents’ names
  • Class 12 marksheet
  • JEE Main 2026 application, roll-number and rank details
  • SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS or PwBD certificate, where applicable
  • CW, KM, Single Girl Child or Orphan certificate, where applicable
  • Other programme or category documents requested by the Faculty of Technology
  • Original certificates for physical verification when notified

Names of the candidate and parents should match across the school records, JEE Main information and reservation certificates.

Important Instructions for DU BTech Candidates

  • Registration is closed; Round 3 is not an opportunity for fresh registration.
  • Check the admission dashboard, registered email and DU Admission Portal regularly.
  • Accept the seat, answer verification queries and pay the fee within the separate deadlines.
  • Do not make payment through unofficial links or third-party agents.
  • Failure to submit documents or fee on time may cancel the allocated seat.
  • If multiple seats are shown in a round, the candidate must take admission in only one allocated seat.
  • Fake, unreadable or invalid documents may lead to cancellation and debarment.
